April 2026 - Laila Wingler

Laila Wingler, a Horticulture student at Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School, has been named Student of the Month for April in recognition of her hard work, dedication, and commitment to both her studies and community. Laila is the daughter of Kevin Wingler and Crystal Coraggio of Bloomsburg. She is an active member of FFA, where she continues to develop her skills and passion for agriculture and hands-on work. Her interest in working outdoors has led her to pursue landscaping, a field she is deeply passionate about. Currently, Laila works as a landscaper after school, gaining valuable experience while building her own path as a young entrepreneur. She plans to continue growing her landscaping business in the future. In addition to her academic and professional efforts Laila is dedicated to giving back to her community. She volunteers her time with AGAPE and The Salvation Army, helping support those in need. Following graduation, Laila hopes to join the National Guard.

March 2026 - Xavier Hartman

Xavier Hartman, a senior in the Culinary Arts Program at Columbia-Montour AVTS, has been recognized as the school’s Student of the Month for March. Xavier, a resident of Berwick, is the son of Kimmie and Daniel Cook. During his time at CMAVTS, he distinguished himself as a hardworking and motivated student with a passion for the culinary field. In addition to his technical studies, Xavier is an active member of both the National Honor Society and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). Through FCCLA, he earned a Bronze medal at the chapter competition in Entrepreneurship. He plans to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) this fall, where he will continue his culinary education. His long-term goal is to become a professional chef after earning his degree.

January 2026: Jaxson Koser

Jaxson Koser, a Senior in the Electrical Occupations program at Columbia-Montour AVTS, has been named Student of the Month. Jaxson is the son of Brandon Koser and Cassandra Mutchler-Koser. He plays football and baseball at CMAVTS. For baseball he was a captain and earned a Varsity Letter. He is involved with the Co-Op Program at Dyco Inc as an electrician. After graduation he plans to attend the Southeast Lineman Training Center.

December 2025: Magdalena Greaser

Magdalena Greaser, a Senior in the Mechatronics program at Columbia-Montour AVTS, has been named Student of the Month. Magdalena is the daughter of Kimberly and Stanley Greaser, Danville, PA. She is a member of SkillsUSA, National Honor Society, STEM Club and Student Government. Magdalena has also been named to the Distinguished Honor Roll. She is involved with our Co-Op program where she is employed at Martz Technologies as an Automation Technician. After graduation, she plans to continue working full-time at Martz Technologies.

November 2025: Gage Monroe

Gage Monroe, a Senior in Culinary Arts program at Columbia-Montour AVTS, has been named Student of the Month for November. Gage is the son of Stephanie and Joseph Monroe, Berwick, PA. He is the State President of FCCLA, involved with Student Government and a member of the National Honor Society. Gage is also part of the Royal Rangers and volunteers at The Hope Center of Nescopeck. After graduation, Gage plans to continue his education and obtain a degree in Criminal Justice and go on to Law School and become a lawyer.

October 2025: Grace Wright

Grace Wright, a Senior in the Health Sciences program at Columbia-Montour AVTS, has been named student of the month for October. Grace is the daughter of Joanna Volin, Berwick, PA and Nicholas Wright, Nescopeck, PA. She is a member of Skills USA where she serves as the treasurer, National Honor Society where she serves as secretary and National Technical Honor Society where she serves as Vice President. Grace is also involved with Student Government, Aevidum, HOSA and Media Club. Grace has enjoyed playing soccer here at CMAVTS and has earned her Varsity Letter and pin, and was honorable mention in the 24-25 season. She has been named to the Distinguished Honor Roll and placed third in the 24-25 Nurse Assistant Skills Competition. Grace participates in the Co-Op program and is currently employed by Geisinger. In the community Grace is an assistant CCD teacher. After high school, she plans to attend college to become a certified nurse midwife.
