Columbia-Montour AVTS is seeking applicants for the following positions:
Anticipated Full-time Automotive Technology Instructor
Position available for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. Individual with teaching experience in career and technical education preferred. The Auto Tech program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain all types of automobiles. Includes instruction in brake systems, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, suspension and steering, automatic and manual transmissions and drive trains, and heating and air condition systems. Applicant must have a minimum of four years (8000 hours) comprehensive wage-earning experience directly related to this occupation and be willing to complete necessary coursework to earn a vocational teaching certification, or currently possess a Vocational Teaching Certificate.

Special Education Teacher
Certification in Special Education is required. Dual secondary certification is preferred.

Secondary Biology Teacher
Position available immediately. Candidate must be PDE Certified in Biology 7-12. Additional certification in Chemistry and/or General Science is a plus.

Cosmetology Teacher
This position involves teaching all aspects of cosmetology for grades 9-12. Applicant must have PA cosmetology teaching license. Prior teaching and salon experience and familiarity with reporting state hours preferred. Applicant must have a minimum of four years (8000 hours) comprehensive wage-earning experience directly related to this occupation and be willing to complete necessary coursework to earn a vocational teaching certification, or currently possess a Vocational Teaching Certificate.

Anticipated Child Accounting/PIMS/Transportation Coordinator
Perform and supervise student data for child accounting purposes in a professional manner to develop accurate state reports, which impacts state and federal funding. Perform all technological duties in a manner that supports the overall needs, goals, and mission of the school. Coordinate transportation in a manner that supports the overall needs of students, faculty, staff, and administration. Coordinate Act 48 in a manner that fulfills the faculty and administrative need for continued certification according to Pennsylvania State law. High school diploma, post-secondary degree in business administration or related field preferred; previous general office/school experience preferred. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and the Google Suite of Products, additional proprietary software utilized by the CMAVTS is a must.

School Social Worker
Provides CMAVTS with the knowledge and competence required to provide school social work services for all students with a focus on preventative and/or problem-solving tools. PK-12 School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate required.
